For the first time in years the Tigers will be making a small change to their very traditional uniforms. Click here for more details.

Wow, it's been a while. I've been so busy this week. It's kind of a freeing feeling not to be bound to the computer, but at the same time I miss the connection to so many of you friends I have all over the place.
~This past week started off great. My parents came in town and brought the boys back from being in Louisiana. It was a good Father's Day weekend.
~The College World Series wrapped up this past week with my team, the LSU Tigers, winning the National Championship. It was a great season for the Tigers and they ended it how they played all year. I was very happy to watch them beat 3 Texas teams throughout the playoffs (Rice, Baylor, & the Texas Longhorns). Suckas. It's my goal to eat Texas steak sometime this week in celebration.
~I went to see Transformers 2 this week. Other than the coolness of it being another Transformers movie (re-living what I enjoyed as a kid) it was kind of disappointing. The storyline and plot was ok, but it was too long (3 hours) and had way too much language for my liking. You'd think they'd want to market it for kids. This just means more disappointment for my boys, because they like the idea of Transformers. But they won't be seeing this movie anytime soon.
~I finished the first part of my June term this past week. I made a 96. Now to get through the next week and be finished with this class. My certification test is in July. And my July term is nothing but Music. That class should be a breeze.
I'm ready for the summer to be over. It's been horribly hot and I'm exhausted because I'm in school all day, and working nights and weekends. I'm ready to start doing what I enjoy. I'm ready to be able to pay my bills. I'm ready for life to feel like normal. Yes, I'm stressed right now but I know it's only for a season.
~3 celebrity deaths this week: Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, & Michael Jackson. Not to single out MJ, but it's funny to me how someone can receive so much criticism during their life, and as soon as they're dead they become a god. Not trying to push a point of view here, I'm just saying. MJ was probably the most influential of the 3 to my life only because he was in music. Great performer, incredible musician, but one troubled dude. RIP famous peeps.
Death always has a way to get you to reflect. It makes you value life, it makes you miss those who are gone, and it makes you think about what your life is about - leaving a legacy.
I miss my grandfathers - I wish I would of had more time with them later in life to get to know them as a man. I miss my friend Scott Jett. He had just as much influence on me as any friend I currently have. But like I mentioned earlier in this post - life is full of seasons. Are we making the most of this season that we're in, before it changes?
~Shaq to Cavs? Really? 1 of 2 things will happen here.
1) Shaq and LeBron will fit well together and win a championship quickly - then both leave Cleveland right away.
2) Shaq and LeBron will have a disastrous season together and not make the playoffs - then both leave Cleveland right away.
Thoughts on my thoughts?

LSU has been ruling the scene in Omaha at the College World Series since they've arrived. I expect nothing less from them on Friday as they prepare to play the winner of the Arkansas/Virginia game. And yes, LSU has already beaten both of these teams this past week. If they win on Friday, they will play in the Championship. Geaux!
Whatever you do, do enthusiastically. People will like it more.
It's been a while since I last posted - mainly because of all that's been going on with me. I recently quit my job at the Marketing/Design Firm I've worked at for the past year and a half. I started school full-time for the summer, to complete my Certification to qualify me to teach in the State of Texas. I will be finished with that in July and am currently looking for a position to teach Music here in the area. In addition to an 8 to 5 school schedule, I am working at Starbucks on nights and weekends. Yes, I've been busy. It's not the most relaxing time of my life, but I know it's only temporary. My finances (as well as rest) will hopefully catch up in the fall.
